One of the big questions that may arise in the minds of many geeks is where is the timeline of The Marvels in the UCM. The Marvels is the sequel to Captain Marvels which was released yesterday in 2019. This is also the next movie to be released in the currently ongoing Phase 5 of the MCU. The story itself will continue to focus on the figure of Carol Danvers.
This time, however, Carol Danvers won’t be alone. She will be joined by two other characters, namely Monica Rambeau and also Kamala Khan. They will unite against another cosmic threat. This certainly makes geeks curious as to where The Marvels’ actual timeline is in the MCU.
Time adjustment of The Marvels in the MCU
After what happened in Avengers: Endgame, the timeline in the MCU has gotten a bit complicated. Many fans are confused about where the story timeline of a movie or series takes place. This may also be a great question for some geeks who are curious about The Marvels’ MCU timeline.
The Marvels Timeline is most likely behind Ms. Marvel which aired yesterday in 2022. In the post-credits scene of the last episode of the series, Carol Danvers is shown switching places with Kamala Khan. The whereabouts of Kamala Khan himself is unknown. However, in the official trailer for The Marvels, we see how Carol has met Kamala Khan and even Monica Rambeau.
This means that Carol Danvers will try to find out what really happened. There are interesting things that come out of The Marvels movie where there may be a time lapse that appears. This is evident from Carol Danvers’ change in appearance. When Carol appeared in Kamala Khan’s room, Carol Danvers’ hair was much shorter than before. Geeks can compare it between the first trailer and the second trailer.
What is also the most striking of the differences is the costume that Carol wears. Prior to The Marvels, Carol Danvers wore the Captain Marvel costume, which she appeared in her solo movies and also in Avengers: Endgame. However, in the movie The Marvels, it is shown how Carol Danvers’ costume underwent changes similar to those that appeared in the comic book story.
The Post-Wonderland Secret Invasion
The next question then is with the current Secret Invasion, is The Marvels timeline before or after the Secret Invasion? In the two official trailers for The Marvels, it is shown how Nick Fury is involved or appears in the film. And if the geeks have noticed, the appearance of Nick Fury himself is the same as before.
So is The Marvels timeline before or after Secret Invasion? The answer is after the Secret Invasion series. There are several things that support this theory. First, the appearance of Nick Fury. In the Secret Invasion series, it is shown how Nick Fury does not wear his trademark blindfold. It wasn’t until yesterday’s episode five that we saw Nick re-wear his trademark outfit, including the blindfold.
Second, Nick Fury himself often echoes the phrase “one last fight” or “last fight.” It is possible that Nick Fury is trying to fix his past with the Skrulls. And in the Secret Invasion series itself, it is shown how now Nick Fury has nothing left, which means that he does not have the goal of staying on earth. Therefore, he later decided to stay on the Saber space station that he built.
The third clue is the various question and answer sessions before the Secret Invasion series airs. In his interview with Empire Magazine, Samuel L. Jackson had said that there was a strong connection between Secret Invasion and The Marvels. “This series (Secret Invasion) had to appear for The Marvels to appear.
