with the release guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 and it seems to be the closing of the Guardians saga, this is also the end of Gunn in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Because Gunn and his partner Peter Safran will focus on developing DC Studios’ new DC Universe.
Gunn and Safran have announced the first phase of their new DCU project called Gods and Monsters. One of the first projects that will be the opening of this new DCU is through the release of a new Superman movie titled Superman: Legacy.
The Man of Steel movie recently officially announced its new cast, David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.
The many film projects to be released by DC Studios have made Gunn want to invite some of his favorite artists, like Pom Klementieff.
The actress, who is in Guardians of the Galaxy as Mantis, revealed that she had actually spoken to James Gunn and said that Gunn had a particular character that Gunn wanted Klementieff to play.
As to which character Gunn wants, of course, it remains a secret between the two. But Klementieff said that she was happy to take on the role and that she could work with Gunn again.
Pom Klementieff recently appeared in the new Mission Impossible film series, titled Mission Impossible: Dead Calculation – Part One and gets the role of antagonist as a character named Paris. The new Mission Impossible movie has just been released in several countries and it seems that Klementieff and the rest of the cast are still busy with promotions for the film.
Although Klementieff will work with Gunn again in the DCU in the future, there’s a chance that her role as Mantis could resurface later. guardians of the galaxy vol. 3.
Klementieff said she doesn’t know if that will happen, but she hasn’t ruled out returning to the MCU if her role as Mantis recurs.
Considering the MCU is currently in phase 5, it’s possible Mantis might show up later in a space-related story.
