Joaquin Phoenix in this film plays the French conqueror, Napoleon Bonaparte, and of course this film will be epic, as expected from a director of Ridley Scott’s caliber. The film will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ before moving to the big screen.
The images show Napoleon’s journey through the years in his successful career and the scale of the battle scenes shown in the Napoleon trailer is grand and unbelievably impressive.
Napoleon declared that he was destined for greatness, but those in power saw him as a weapon, so he decided to take matters into his own hands and seize the throne of France for himself.
Originally planned for an Apple TV+ release, the film will later be released in theaters via Sony Pictures. Apple Studios, which is producing the film, will collaborate with Sony Pictures to bring Napoleon to the big screen.
However, Napoleon It’s not the only Apple production to follow this model of traditional-looking widescreen releases. Apple Studios has announced its intention to release its upcoming films in theaters, beginning with Moonflower Killers in October 2023.

Academy Award nominee Vanessa Kirby plays the role of Empress Joséphine, wife of Napoleon. Other actors involved in the project are Rupert Everett and Ian McNeice, who currently have undisclosed roles.
