Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One Soon to be screened in Indonesia is the seventh film in the Mission: Impossible franchise that began in 1996.

This spy action genre film was directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a script he wrote with Erik Jendresen. Dead Reckoning Part One is also a direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018).

On this occasion Tom Cruise is accompanied by Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and Vanessa Kirby. The new cast features Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff and Henry Czerny (his first appearance in Mission Impossible nineteen ninety six).

In January 2019, Tom Cruise announced that a seventh and eighth Mission: Impossible film would be made respectively with McQuarrie to write and direct both films. Lorne Balfe, who composed the score for Mission: Impossible – Falloutreturned to compose the film’s soundtrack.

Filming began in Italy in February 2020, but was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It resumed later that year, ending in September 2021 with other filming locations including Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. This is the first film in the series since Mission: Impossible 2 (2000) which did not involve JJ Abrams in any way.

Paramount Pictures scheduled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One to be released on wide screens in the United States on July 12, and the film received critical acclaim.

On review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, 98% of 106 critic reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.1/10.

The website’s consensus reads: “With world-threatening stakes and epic set pieces to match the grand title, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One It shows that this movie is still a franchise that you have to choose to accept.”

Meanwhile, Metacritic, using a weighted average, gave the film a score of 82 out of 100, based on 40 critics, indicating “universal acclaim”, or widely acclaimed.
