Arlong and Captain Kuro have been seen in the latest One Piece trailer
The journey to find “One Piece” is underway in the latest One Piece trailer for Netflix’s upcoming live-action series based on Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga.
When Netflix dropped the first trailer for the upcoming One Piece live-action adaptation during its TUDUM fan event, that first trailer certainly set the tone for what we can expect when the series arrives on August 31, 2023.
The second trailer was released at a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, as well as on YouTube’s YouTube channel. Viewers rewatched the trailer showing the action-packed adventures of Luffy and his friends.
The trailer for One Piece shared around the world unfolds in the same way as the manga’s story begins, with the previous pirate king announcing the existence of “One Piece” just before his execution.

From there, Luffy decided to set sail to find his crew and friends. In particular, the trailer showed off a much-improved look for Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as some of his voyages across the seas.
This new One Piece trailer gives fans their first look at the iconic antagonist Arlong, the greatest swordsman in the One Piece world, Mihawk, the legendary pirate Gol D. Roger, and many more.
The trailer also showcases Zoro and Sanji’s classic antagonistic dynamic against each other and gives viewers a closer look at Red-Haired Shanks.

He is shown assembling a loyal team of Straw Hats on his journey, including the surly swordsman Zoro (Mackenyu), the navigator with a secretive Nami (Emily Rudd), the enthusiastic Usopp (Jacob Gibson Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar), a chef with a killer kick.
Throughout the trailer, this group of criminals fights against each other, while facing off against bad guys that would give anyone nightmares.
That said, the series isn’t a grim and gritty version of One Piece, with all the friendships and hearts intertwined throughout the trailer.
