After the release of the fourth episode of Secret Invasion, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige spoke to Marvel.com about one of the Avengers, Colonel James Rhodes, who is actually a Skrull. Feige says that they needed an unlikely character to be a Skrull, and Don Cheadle He agreed to do it himself. And it turned out that this idea had been suggested to Cheadle a long time ago.

Prior to Secret Invasion, Cheadle’s version of Rhodey appeared in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).
