It’s official, Jennifer Garner Elektra is back in Deadpool 3!

the hollywood reporter Some time ago it was revealed that Jennifer Garner would return to play Elektra Natchios. Garner had previously played Elektra in the 2003 film Daredevil and 2005’s Elektra, and the news of the character’s return after a near absence for the past twenty years was cause for great concern. Interestingly, the news about Jennifer Garner’s return was bolstered by a tweet from Maximum Effort, the production company owned by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, confirming that Elektra, played by Garner, will be joining the Deadpool 3 movie.

The tweet says “Moms of the Future Past. Welcome to Deadpool, Jennifer Garner.” referring to a previous collaboration between Garner, Reynolds and Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy on the Netflix film The Adam Project.

Jennifer Garner’s presence as Elektra in Deadpool 3 is, of course, good news for Marvel fans. Elektra is a character known for her martial arts skills and is one of the strongest female characters in the Marvel universe. Garner’s first appearance as Elektra in Daredevil was well received and she brought the character to life with her charisma and skill.

Garner’s return as Elektra after nearly twenty years is sure to give Daredevil fans some nostalgia. And while the 2005 Elektra spin-off was critically acclaimed, Garner’s take on the character remains memorable to many.

It’s not known exactly how big of a role Elektra is in Deadpool 3, whether she knows Deadpool or not. With this confirmation, it means that Garner will compete acting with several other confirmed actors like Hugh Jackman as gluttons, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic. Deadpool 3 will be directed by director Shawn Levy, with a script written by Rob Liefeld, Wendy Molyneux, and Lizzie Molyneux Logelin. This movie will be released in 2024. But there is a possibility that the release will be postponed due to the writers strike in America.
