Filtered, Doctor Strange almost appeared in WandaVision!

The WandaVision movie came close to introducing Doctor Strange, and a documentary now streaming on Disney+ has revealed more details about how the Sorcerer Supreme’s brief appearance came about. This was discovered by Twitter users with the usernames @ScarletWitchUpd and @hannaeeliz.

In the documentary series titled MPower, we can see moments in the writer’s room working on the WandaVision series. In this scene, several notes behind the writers’ work emerge, including one revealing plans that were ultimately scrapped about Doctor Strange’s role in the series.

The note contained a plan stating “Doctor Strange trapped” in the Mirror Dimension. “Agatha heard the same voice as the twins (Billy and Tommy): she opened the closet and saw Doctor Strange trapped in the Mirror Dimension”

Doctor Strange from WandaVision

Given Doctor Strange’s strength and experience in terms of dimensions and reality, as well as the intertwined relationships between the stories of WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2, his presence in WandaVision is sure to be an interesting addition to the story and journey of the characters. However, it seems that these plans changed in the middle of the production process and were finally removed from the final version of WandaVision that we are witnessing.

Although the plans for Doctor Strange in WandaVision did not materialize, the WandaVision series is still considered one of the most interesting series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). But after Doctor Strange 2, we have to await the fate of the Scarlet Witch in the MCU, whether the Scarlet Witch from the main universe returns or we see Wanda Maximoff in action from Earth-838, who becomes the main Scarlet Witch of the MCU.

The MCU itself has already entered phase 5, but it seems that Disney, as the production house where Marvel Studios is sheltered, wants to improve several aspects that are considered to have diminished in Phase 4 of the MCU. As Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, said, that he will focus on improving the quality of the movies and series that Marvel Studios will produce.
