Blue Beetle will be the last movie in the DC Universe under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran. This film will be the first time that Jaime Reyes aka Blue Beetle (played by Xolo Maridueña) will appear in widescreen format. Currently, there is only a month left before the Blue Beetle movie is released, and a new update has revealed the length of the Blue Beetle movie.
Reporting from AMC Theatres, Blue Beetle will run for exactly 2 hours and 7 minutes. At that length, Blue Beetle is three minutes shorter than Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and 17 minutes shorter than another recent DC movie, The Flash. This movie will also be the shortest movie in the DCU.
In this film, the public will follow the adventures of Jaime Reyes, who becomes the host of the Beetle, an alien artifact that gives him extraordinary powers. Along with Scarab, Jaime realizes that he has been chosen to become the Blue Beetle, a superhero with incredible armor powers. He must learn to control his powers and face the new challenges that come with his role as Blue Beetle.
Although the length is shorter than some of the previous DCU movies, it is hoped that Blue Beetle can provide a satisfying experience for DCU fans. Furthermore, James Gunn, CO-CEO of the DCU, had revealed that Blue Beetle is technically the first DCU movie, which means there are separate expectations for this movie.
The Blue Beetle movie is predicted to be one of the most anticipated shows of this year. The closer to the release date, the greater the enthusiasm of the public to witness the exciting adventures of the Blue Beetle in the nearest cinema.
