Black Bolt is one of the vital characters who is the main face of the Inhuman nation in Marvel Comics. That’s why many fans are hoping that he could make an appearance in the MCU as well. The fact is that although the series inhuman (2017) was deemed a flop, but actor Ansen Mount’s live-action version of Black Bolt finally makes an appearance in the MCU movies. Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness (2022). Interestingly, Mount recently hinted that her character would reappear in the future of the MCU.
As a reminder, Mount’s appearance as Blackagar Boltagon aka Black Bolt in multiverse of madness described as a variant that existed on Earth-838. Where he is a member of the Illuminati super team made up of tough Marvel superheroes. Unfortunately, when Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch from the main universe, dreamwalked to Earth-838, Black Bolt was told that she was one of the victims who died horribly due to her own super voice.
Now that the Earth-838 variant is gone, actor Anson Mount said radio schedules that Black Bolt is destined to return to the MCU. When asked if his character would be returning, Mount, who was careful not to give away spoilers, admitted that he and Marvel Studios had had discussions about returning Black Bolt in one of the upcoming projects. It’s just that he himself still doesn’t know when and which MCU projects will involve him again.
“I’ve had a number of informal conversations with Marvel execs, but for now they’re worried about a phase that they need to do as soon as possible. I don’t know, we’ll see. I sure would love to put the robe back on and do it again. I love it Black Bolt as a character”, Monte said.
Currently, Marvel Studios has yet to announce any plans regarding the appearance of Black Bolt and other Inhumans in the MCU. In addition, lately the study is forced to streamline all its plans to focus more on quality than quantity. Based on Ansen Mount’s statement that Marvel is currently busy with other things, it’s not impossible for the character to return after the Multiverse Saga ends. We’ll see how true it is.
