Star Wars: The Acolytes is a series that you must watch if you really look forward to the actions of the Jedi. The reason is that recently, The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland appeared on the Dagobah Dispatch podcast and spoke openly about the series. According to Headland, The Acolyte will take place at the end of the High Republic, and he’s sure the series will feature more Force and Jedi users.
“I can say that The Acolyte stands out because it takes place at a very early point in live-action Star Wars,” Headland said. We’re at the end of High Republic, heading into the George Prequels. [Lucas]. So we’re looking at periods of time where the Jedi were at the height of their power, we’re looking at periods of time where peace spread throughout the galaxy, and it was challenging and exciting to do Star Wars without any war. “
“However, the question is, ‘If there is no conflict, what should this series tell?’ And I think what makes this series different and interesting is the perspective from the bad side or the villains of Star Wars.” he continued. “These are people using the Power in their own way, going to the dark side and doing it without the approval of a larger institution, in this case the Jedi. And I think Star Wars has always been a version of the underclass fighting the institutions.”
Headland then went on to say that The Acolyte would break records for the number of Jedi to appear on screen in the Star Wars franchise. No other project has featured as many Jedi characters as Star Wars: The Acolyte.
Previously in the Star Wars series, the Jedi rarely appeared. For example, for three seasons, Star Wars: The Mandalorian featured very few Jedi, and Obi-Wan Kenobi only focused on a few Jedi characters. It will be very interesting to see the Jedi in action again, before the massacre that almost wiped out all the Jedi in the galaxy. Let’s hope, geeks, which Jedi will appear in the series later.
