To this day, Marvel has become a worldwide phenomenon with a series of highly successful superhero comics, video games, and movies. Now speaking of the success of a Marvel movie, of course this cannot be separated from the soundtrack or the music of the movie which is epic and mixed with the stories of the superheroes. Interestingly, in the history of cinema there have been several Indonesian musicians who have contributed to creating soundtracks for various popular Marvel movies. In this article, we will talk about five Indonesian musicians who have recorded official soundtracks for Marvel superhero movies.

Fans of Indonesian music from the 1990s to the early 2000s will surely know /rif. The rock band consisting of Andy, Jikun, Maggi, Ovy and Teddy have released many hit songs including “Radja”, “Bunga” and many more. Interestingly, in 2002, these Bandung musicians had a golden opportunity to replace the soundtrack of a Marvel movie of the same class. Spiderman directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire. Where /rif sings a song called “Dunia” which is taken from the fourth album “…And Dunia Smiling”. In the video clip we can see spiders and green lasers that represent Spider-Man and the Green Goblin in the movie.
